The University of Derby and THUAS have signed a MoU
A delegation of 12 staff visited the University of Derby on 11th and 12th April from THUAS to expand current links and widen international activity. Academic and support staff from THUAS met with counterparts from the University of Derby’s College of Business, Law and Social Sciences, College of Arts, Humanities and Education, the Buxton Centre for Contemporary Hospitality and some of the central service departments the Academic Centres, HR and International Recruitment and Collaborations departments.
The group had busy schedules meeting with different staff across the University whilst also having time to see some of the real world learning facilities available at Derby with some of the delegation also visiting University sites in the city and Buxton. At the end of the productive visit, a wrap up session took place which identified many aspects of international partnership work that will take place next including a reciprocal visit to The Hague and further staff exchange.
The University of Derby and THUAS have signed a MoU [red. Memorandum of understanding] to work together as strategic partners and the visit was to promote the partnership and start deeper engagement between the two institutions. The two institutions also have a student exchange agreement for the BA (Hons) International Relations and Diplomacy (Hague) programme which has students exchanging for the second year of the programme, with the first students due to exchange in September 2018.
