Just a moment with Patrick Jansen
“Over time, I have become less and less afraid. I know: risks are a part of life. The more you live on the edge, the more you feel. I don’t consciously seek them out, but there is more to life out there: just beyond the edge. Today I saw some jet surfboards with Formula 1 technology. That made me really happy. All I need to do is save up twelve thousand dollars. But it would be great to have one someday. Ninety percent of the year I go to work by skateboard. It’s about 2.5 kilometres, so that’s a nice ride. I can totally relax as I cruise down the boulevard. It really clears your head.”

JUST A MOMENT
Over the course of a day, you see dozens of faces passing by: in the Atrium, on the stairs, on your way to class. Behind each face is a unique story. This series of interviews, inspired by ‘Humans of New York’, gives readers a little peek into the lives of students and staff at THUAS.
