Discuss with Minister Kaag about her policy
New minister new policy. Sigrid Kaag, the new Dutch minister for Foreign Trade & Development Cooperation, wants to talk with you.
This coming Monday the minister wants to hear from students what they think is important in the areas of foreign trade and development cooperation. Using three innovative ideas, she will spend an hour discuss her new policy with students of THUAS. What do you think is important? What should the Netherlands focus on abroad? Be there, and let us know.
Sigrid Kaag (D66) has already had a rich international career before becoming a minister in the Rutte III administration. In 2013-14 she received national and international fame as under-secretary general, leading the successful UN mission for the destruction of chemical weapons in Syria. She says about her ministry: “As a minister I am committed to our trade abroad and to more stability and growth in developing countries. Because more stability there, also means more safety here. ”
When, where and how
This coming Monday (February 5th), the minister will talk with students in the Speakers’ Coner from 12.45 till 14.00. Register yourself on the website of The Lighthouse to let us know you’re coming, or come to the Speakers’ Corner on the day and show us your student ID. Students who register are guaranteed a seat.
